I often think twice about posting bikini shots but they do seem to get more attention and well, I want your attention so I can tell you to STOP the fads!
I am not a bikini model, nor do I want to be, and according to society im actually too over weight to be one and its this view thats killing us. I had a bee in my bonnet for a while now about fad dieting so I am posting this picture to show you dont need fad diets to stay in shape.
I've never been on a diet or detox, never had meal replacements or restricted carbs, I dont count calories nor do I starve myself. I have so many girls who come to me who are killing themselves (literally) on fad diets. Of course you're going to lose weight if you deprive yourself. But can you maintain that? Do you know the damage these fads are doing to your body? Our bodies are like a car, you've got put the right fuel in for them to work their best and last the longest. Food is fuel for your body. We spend so many years studying to be our best in our chosen profession but how much time do we spend learning about our body? Education is key and sadly we, as a society, neglect to realise that.
Do you know the best time to eat certain foods? Do you know how to find out the amount of sugar hidden in foods. Do you know the real purpose of eating carbs?
We only get one body and for how long depends on how well you look after it. Its not about being a bikini model, its not even about the scales, its about being fit and healthy and being able to get the most out of life for as long as you can, for you, for your kids, for your family.
Its about creating a lifestyle that allows you to live to your full potential. There is no quick fix or fad diet. It does take hard work, but so does managing diabetes, obesity, heart attacks.
Dont diet and exercise, instead eat and train. Your body will thank you for it.
